Gracenote: What Do You Have In Your House?

God is going to use something you already have, to give you everything you’ll ever need!

2 Kings, chapter 4, tells the story of a widow that was in severe debt. Her creditors were beating down her door, even threatening to take her two sons as payment for the debt. In her desperation, she cries out to the Prophet Elisha for help. The Man of God replies with a question. He asks the widow “What Do You Have In Your House!” It was a strange request. The woman replies, “I have nothing”, but then she remembers, “I do have one pot of oil.” Elisha speaks a word, and a miracle occurs. From the widow’s one pot, came enough oil for her to sell it, pay off her debt, and for her, and her sons, to live comfortably of the rest.

What do you have in your house?  What spiritual gifts, peculiar anointing or divinely inspired idea do you possess? It is critical that you take a self-inventory, because, just as He did for the widow, God is going to use what you already have, to give you everything you’ll ever need!
