Gracenote: The Dream Team

In the book of Habakkuk, chapter 2, God says to the Prophet, “write the vision, make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Among other things, we see in this passage, the concept of a TEAM. In a sense, Habakkuk is responsible for diagraming the play, documenting the strategy or writing the vision.

Habakkuk has the dream, that is the strategy for reaching the goal. Habakkuk is the visionary, the dreamer who holds dream, but I want to summit for your consideration the fact that every dream needs a team. (enter the dream team) A group of people who are dedicated to seeing the dream come to pass, the vision come to fruition, and the strategy successfully impletmented. The dream does not happen, just because it is on paper, but it takes teamwork, to make the dream work!

The bible says, in 1 Corinthians 12, that the church, the body of Christ, consists of many members, but though we are many members, we are yet one body. We are a TEAM! The body of Christ, The Church, is The Dream Team. We are the ones who are responsible for making sure that God’s dream for humanity becomes a reality. Well what is God’s dream for humanity? God’s dream for humanity is nothing more than Heaven on earth! That’s why Jesus taught his disciples to pray, “Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Gods dream for humanity is heaven on earth, but he is depending on the dream team to make it happen! It takes teamwork to make the dream work!
